Mr. Herbert W. Armstrong Was right!

He fulfilled the prophecy of the end time Elijah spoken of in the book Malachi. He was a voice crying out in the wilderness of modern day religious confusion, God used him to restore the basic foundational doctrines taught by Jesus Christ to the Apostles.  What H.W.A. taught was Truth!  Click  "PLAY" below  (Sermon by Ronald W. Dear Friend:

We live in a very stressful world today. Seems with all the innovations of our modern society we never have a chance to meditate on the wonders of God, and His great love for us.  I remember when I was a child I would visit my grandfather, and after supper, we would sit on his back porch. He would light his pipe, pour a large class of wine, and just stare out into his garden. He was content with the world. He lived a long healthy life, passing away at 95.

This hectic life we live today is another of the signs that we are coming closer to the end of this Church age as prophesied in the Bible. "But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase."  Dan 12:4. We may be living in a dangerous time if we have become so worried about the physical, that we have lost that close contact with our creator.

God warned us to remember that He is our provider. Our physical effort can only provide so much of our needs without us becoming so stressed working to keep up with the all the items we long for in this life. God says, "Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?" Matt 6:25. He tells us not to be overly concerned about striving for worldly needs. "So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin" Matt 6:28. God claims He takes care of His children's needs, if we just put Him first in our lives, and all will be well. "Therefore do not worry, saying, 'What shall we eat?' or 'What shall we drink?' or 'What shall we wear?'  For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.  But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you". Matt 6:31-33.

If we remember who supplies our daily bread, the clothes that we wear, the homes we live in, and especially our good health and wellbeing, then the stress of life will not be so overwhelming. So as to not cause us unhappiness that keeps us distracted from all the Creator provides us. This worry produces stress by always lusting for more and more, which , in the end, causes us concern, but not happiness. We must know who it is that provides for us, and never forget that or we will live a life of constant anxiety. God promises us all we need for a truly happy life if we are looking to Him for the abundant life. "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Phil 4:19.

It all depends on our priorities in life. Laodiceans are rich and increased with goods, because that is their main goal in life. Philadelphian's main priority must be the truth of God, and then those things that are really important will be provided them. If your priorities are right with God, He will provides everything your heart desires. "Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart." Ps 37:4. We can get so busy "getting", that we may forget to give to our Father His time. It is the Father that provides for His family. We may work so hard to fulfill our needs we forget to take time to sit down in our rocking chair, on our back porch, and spend some time talking to God about our real needs. Taking time with God getting our mind of all our massive list of wants. God will always provide for those who are His children, never forget that. The Psalmist writes, "I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread." Ps 37:25.

Dear Friend:

In this world it seems no matter how much we seem to follow God's laws and His way, we do fail. That is something that seems to prey on the mind of a truly converted Christian. To those whom God's law and sin are not really a "big deal" they don't seem to be overly concerned with what they are doing and just go through life as usual. As my dad used to say about people like that, "fat, dumb and happy.? I think that was a very apt description.

To those who occasionally, and sometimes consistently sin, it can cause a feeling of God condemning us for what we have failed to do in following Him. But wait! Are we not human? Do we not have human nature? Are we not caught in a trap of following the way of this world? Yes! Are we not trying to work on changing our nature? God knows our nature. He knows where it comes from. Does that mean those sins have condemned us to Gehenna fire? No!

We are all sinners, God knows that. He recognizes we are sinners by nature. "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"  Rom 3:23. We must recognize our human frailties.  We are weak and unable to change without help from somewhere. So what do we do about that? God, knowing our inability to change, has provided a way. That is the prime lesson of the Old Testament?without God's Spirit we are unable to change. That is why, in one of the most encouraging and well known messages of Jesus Christ, He states. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16.

That is the reason that Jesus Christ came to this world and called us?so we would not be assigned to death forever, but to have eternal life as part of the family, the Family of God. It?s the only family that will exist forever. ?For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.?  John 3:17.

A young lady mentioned the other day that the family she married into was so wonderful because of the love they exhibited to one another and the way they treated one another. That is what we look forward to. The love of God is

deeply imbedded in human beings, called by God, who sin but have an attitude of not wanting to sin again.

With Christ in the picture, it now becomes not about the sins we commit, but about our attitude of sin. We have to hate sin. We cannot just not sin. We must hate the fact that we do sin and hurt others. If we have an attitude we can do to others what we want for our pleasure and have no compunction about doing it, then our attitude is wrong. If we do, soon our conscience will be seared, and then Gehenna fire is ahead for us. "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled." Titus 1:15.

As I mentioned before, do we have the attitude of the apostle Paul who wrote in the letter to the Romans "For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man." Rom 7:22. Inward man is the spirit within us. Yes, we sin, and we should hate the sin, not ourselves. To hate sin is a fervent desire to change to the way of God? not continue to hide our sins. God sees all, and He is the only one we need to repent to. God is anxious to forgive us, not to condemn His sons and daughters.
